In the late 1970s, a self proclaimed prophet named Jim Jones founded the People’s Temple, promising social equality and spiritual enlightenment. Initially, Jones used the Bible to attract followers, but soon began preaching his own twisted prophecies and demanding absolute loyalty. His manipulation led to one of the most tragic events in modern history: the Jonestown Massacre.
