America began as a significant majority Protestant nation. Twelve of the thirteen original colonies were Protestant. America was a safe haven for religious persecution, and the desire for religious liberty deeply influenced the thinking of the founding fathers. However, this is going to change. Revelation 13 says the lamb like beast (America) will speak like a dragon (Satan).
