Rama was a powerful witch doctor renowned for his “magical” abilities to cure the sick. People traveled long distances for his services, and his fame grew with every success . . . until one day everything changed. His wife whom he loved very much got sick, and despite his best potions and incantations, fell into a coma. He couldn’t understand it. Normally he could cure anyone he pleased, but this time something was different. People always turned to him for help, but who would help him now? Rama had always enjoyed listening to the radio, and now, in his time of desperate need, he remembered the words from a program he’d recently heard: “There is a God in heaven who can solve every problem you face in life. He loves you, and is ready to help if you ask Him.” Could this be true? He hadn’t paid much attention to the message then, but now a ray of hope began to burn in his heart. As he walked to the market in yet another search for help, the impression to pray to the God of the radio grew strong in his heart. Unable to resist any longer, he knelt among the trees of the forest, and for the first time in his life he offered up a simple but heartfelt prayer: “Oh God, if you truly exist, please heal my wife. If you do, I promise that my family and I will dedicate all our prayers to you. I also promise to cleanse my life of the evil magic I have practiced for so long.” When he returned home that afternoon after a fruitless search at the market, he found his wife’s bed empty. Alarmed and fearing the worst, he quickly searched the house, but she wasn’t there. What had happened? And where could she possibly be? Watch this video for the conclusion of this amazing story.
