Com dolorosos sintomas físicos e emocionais, Isaías revelou grande sensibilidade diante do que estava por vir. Sua comunicação com Deus receberia o reforço de uma terceira pessoa, um atalaia, que relataria o que o profeta não podia ouvir e nem ver (v.3). O Senhor conhece bem a estrutura de Seus filhos, e mesmo a Seus profetas, só pede o que sabe que podem realizar. Dia e noite, o atalaia aguardava o anúncio a ser proclamado. E a queda de Babilônia foi predita e proclamada como o rugido do símbolo de sua arrogância: “Caiu, caiu Babilônia” (v.9). Enquanto a profecia anterior é clara, a profecia seguinte possui um requinte de mistério diante de uma pergunta sem uma resposta precisa: “Guarda, a que horas estamos da noite?… Respondeu o guarda: Vem a manhã, e também a noite; se quereis perguntar, perguntai; voltai, vinde” (v.11, 12). Já a sentença contra a Arábia revela detalhes de um cenário de batalha, com fuga para os bosques, escassez de água e alimento e a presença de armas de guerra. Para o profeta, eram palavras difíceis de falar e que, pela sua reação inicial, profecias que ele compreendeu em seu sentido mais fiel. Assim declara a segunda voz angélica: “Caiu, caiu a grande Babilônia que tem dado a beber a todas as nações do vinho da fúria da sua prostituição” (Ap.14:8). O vinho sedutor da grande meretriz espiritual dos últimos dias logo dará lugar ao “vinho da cólera de Deus, preparado, sem mistura, do cálice da Sua ira” (Ap.14:10). Eis uma revelação que também deve ter feito o profeta João tremer. Se a justiça de Deus aplicada às nações antigas já era considerada com temor, que dirá a Sua justiça final mediante o clímax de Sua ira. Certamente se cumprirá o que está escrito: “Bem aventurados os que têm fome e sede de justiça, porque serão fartos” (Mt.5:6). Mesmo diante de mensagens tão fortes e decisivas, não há o que temer para os que aguardam com perseverança o tempo de seu resgate; para os que, movidos pelo saudosismo de alcançar uma pátria superior, aguardam com expectativa o cumprimento da promessa: “Guarda, a que horas estamos da noite?” (v.11). Mesmo que não tenhamos uma resposta específica, mesmo que não saibamos o tempo exato da vinda do nosso Senhor e Salvador, precisamos permanecer em nossa “torre de vigia” (v.8), até que do alto possamos ouvir “a voz do Arcanjo” (1Ts.4:16). “Tocai a trombeta em Sião e dai voz de rebate no Meu santo monte; perturbem se todos os moradores da Terra, porque o Dia do Senhor vem, já está próximo” (Jl.2:1). Como derradeiros atalaias de Deus, precisamos gritar “como um leão” (v.8) que Jesus está voltando. Que Ele está às portas! Que este mundo está em contagem regressiva e não aguentará por mais tempo os destrutivos resultados do pecado. Ergamos as nossas cabeças, pois a nossa redenção se aproxima! E tão perto como estamos deste momento glorioso, se fizermos parte do seleto grupo dos salvos vivos, enfrentaremos o cenário da grande última batalha e nos sentiremos exaustos “diante do furor da guerra” (v.15). Mas teremos a nosso favor o Senhor dos Exércitos, poderoso nas batalhas, que de nossa fraqueza tirará forças. Ele nos sustentará até que do alto surja o raiar da tão desejada manhã gloriosa. Enquanto aguardamos, amados, confiemos na confortante e fortalecedora promessa: “Reprime a tua voz de choro e as lágrimas de teus olhos; porque há recompensa para as tuas obras, diz o Senhor, pois os teus filhos voltarão da terra do inimigo. Há esperança para o teu futuro, diz o Senhor” (Jr.31:16, 17). Vigiemos e oremos! Bom dia, atalaias dos últimos dias! Rosana Garcia Barros
