Not only did Jesus commission us to do this, but He prophecied about it in Matthew 24:14: "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." This prophecy is critical because it is conditional when the Gospel is preached to all the world, then will the end come. Who is to preach the Gospel? You and I! This prophecy is incredibly relevant for Christians today because we have something to do with it.
