CompartilharSecond Coming of Jesus EVERLASTING GOSPEL God Man Savior 7 • New Testament writers record genealogy of Jesus, tracing His roots to David [Romans 1:3], Abraham (Matthew 1:1 16], and to Adam [ Luke 3:23 38] • Christ’s humanity was part and parcel of the humanity He came to redeem. • Question that confronts us: “How and when did Christ cleanse that humanity from the law of sin and death?” • Bible teaches: On the cross that Jesus took away the sin of the world [Romans 8:2 3]. • Incarnation is not God’s solution to our sin problem; His solution is “the blood of Jesus, his Son [that] purifies us from all sin” [1 John 1:7]. • Incarnation qualified Jesus to be our Substitute and Savior, but it is cross that is power of God unto salvation. • When everlasting gospel is understood in light of “in Christ”, humanity of Jesus becomes everything to us. • At the incarnation, two distinct natures were united in one Person: Jesus Christ (God Man). • For Christ to qualify legally to be our substitute and representative, His divinity had to be united to our corporate fallen humanity that needed redeeming. • Two distinct, opposite natures were united in one Person, and Christ became the second Adam. • “In Christ” central theme Paul’s theology. New Testament says about divinity and humanity that were united in Christ. Divine Nature What He Is Human Nature What He Was Made 1. Son of God [Luke 1:35] 2. Self existing [John 1:4] 3. Spirit [John 4:24] 4. Equal with God [Philippians 2:6] 5. Sinless [2 Corinthians 5:21] 6. Independent [John 10:18] 7. Immortal [1 Timothy 1:17] 8. Lawgiver [James 4:12] 1. Son of Man [Luke 19:10] 2. Born of Woman [Galatians 4:4] 3. Flesh [John 1:14] 4. Slave of God [Philippians 2:7] 5. Sin [2 Corinthians 5:21] 6. Dependent [John 5:19 20] 7. Mortal [Hebrews 2:14 15] 8. Under Law [Galatians 4:4] • Resurrection two natures became one, sharing the same divine life. • Cross our corporate, condemned life died eternally in Christ [2 Corinthians 5:14]. • Resurrection God gave entire human race eternal life of His Son [1 John 5:11]. • All that we humans are as result of Fall, Christ was made at incarnation so that, through His life, death, and resurrection, we could be made, in Him, all that He is [ 2 Corinthians 5:17] • “Christ was treated as we deserve, that we might be treated as He deserves. He was condemned for our sins, in which He had no share, that we might be justified by His righteousness, in which we had no share. He suffered death that was ours, that we might receive life that was His. “By His stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 • Satan determined to bring eternal separation between God and man; but in taking our nature, the Savior united Himself to humanity by a tie that will never be broken. (John 3: 16) • God gave Jesus, not only to die as our Sacrifice; God gave Jesus to become one of the human family, to keep His human nature forever. By nature we are: 1. Spiritually dead in Christ were made spiritually alive [ Ephesians 2:5]; 2. Sinners in Christ were made righteous [ 2 Corinthians 5:21]; 3. Sinful in Christ were made holy, blameless [ Ephesians 1:4]; 4. Condemned in Christ were justified [Romans 5:18]; 5. Sons of man in Christ were made sons of God [1 John 3:1]; 6. Hell bound in Christ were made to sit heavenly places [Ephesians 2:6]; 7. Mortal in Christ were made immortal [2 Timothy 1:8 10]; 8. Poor in Christ were made rich [ 2 Corinthians 8:9]; 9. Lower than angels in Christ were made joint heirs with Christ [Hebrews 2:6 12; Romans 8:17]. ~ ~~ ~~~ ~~ ~ Please watch: "Second Coming of Jesus David Asscherick The Bigger Picture God Is Love" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpmcmJfYdvE ~ ~~ ~~~ ~~ ~
